Sheri Crocker is a Community Health Worker and has been employed with AccessHealth Spartanburg since March 2016.
In this role, she helps clients achieve better health by connecting them with medical and social resources.
Sheri became certified as a Community Health Worker in 2019 and that same year, she earned the prestigious title of Outstanding CHW of the Year from the American Public Health Association. She holds an associate’s degree as an administrative medical specialist from Spartanburg Community College and is a member of the SC and National Community Health Worker Associations. Sheri has served as a SC CHW Ambassador with the Center for Community Health Alignment and serves on various committees focusing on the health and wellbeing of residents of Cherokee County. Sheri is a member of the Homeless Coalition (Cherokee, Union, and Spartanburg county chapter), Wholespire Cherokee County, Gibbs Duke Endowment Advisory Committee, Cherokee County Free Medical Clinic Advisory Board, Cherokee County Housing Instability Group, Cherokee County Safety Net Group, and volunteers at Cherokee County Meals on Wheels. She has worked in numerous administrative support roles for Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System, including senior patient access representative, patient account representative, and scheduling coordinator.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, walking, traveling, gardening, and listening to music.
