AHS Staff

Yanira joined AccessHealth in March 2022 as a community health worker as part of HOPS (Healthy Outcomes Program Spartanburg). Yanira is responsible for managing a caseload of clients and working with them with the purpose of encouraging a healthy lifestyle. Her duties include accompanying AHS clients to physician appointments and providing other services, such as Spanish interpretation between them and health professionals.

Yanira brings extensive administrative and clerical experience, as well as Spanish-English translation background. She holds an associate's degree from Liberty University. She also holds a certification from the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages, and and a certificate in medical terminology from Spartanburg Community College.

Yanira enjoys being active in her church and community. She is a passionate advocate for animals and the environment. She loves walking with her dog in the outdoors, reading and spending time with her family.
